Millennium, like all Grant Maintained Integrated Schools, was started by parents who wanted integrated education for their community. Our parents continue to work very hard to support the school at Board of Governor level, Parents’ Council and through the PALS Parent Support Group who, amongst a range of many other roles within the school, organise a Friday coffee morning designed to build links and support networks between parents.
The relationship between parents and Millennium continues to be one of the major strengths of the school as we place an emphasis on trying to get it right.
As a school we recognise that every parent is the first teacher of their child and continues to be actively involved in the shared task of educating their child. Preparing children for life is not just about the more formal aspects of education. Working together, Millennium Integrated Primary School will provide an excellent balanced curriculum which meets the need of every individual child. We encourage independence, friendship and mutual respect and this is reflected in the daily interactions
between children, parents and all staff.
