11-18 November is Anti-Bullying Week in 2019. This letter from the Principal about Anti-Bullying Week and the updating of our Anti-Bullying Policy went out via email this morning. Your views on this subject are welcome, and the letter contains a link to a survey that you can complete.

The Parents Council are holding a fundraising Pub Quiz at Eight South on 17 October at 7.30 pm. Entry fee is £5 a head. Come along and see if you can beat the teachers!
Parent teacher meetings with Mrs Orderly (P1 Yellow) and both P7 teachers are now available to book on the Eduspot app. They will take place in the week commencing 7 October,
Parent teacher meetings for all other classes will take place in the week commencing 21 October and will be available to book approximately two weeks ahead of time.

We are now taking bookings for all the clubs except Yoga 4 Kids.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, some of the providers have not yet confirmed their fees. Until we have the price, we cannot take any bookings and the clubs cannot take place. These are marked ‘TBC’ on the timetable for now. Further information will be circulated as soon as we have it.

You may have heard that the government has changed the date of the 2020 May Day Bank Holiday. Our calendar for 2019-20 has been changed accordingly.
The weather may have been too much for their parents, but the children are still pedaling away on their 500 Miles for £500 challenge! They will continue shaking their buckets in the foyer until Friday.
As you know, the sponsored cycle ride was postponed and we haven’t got a new date yet. If anyone who donated would like to get their money back in the meantime, please contact the office.
If you would like your child to take music lessons in September, you must fill in this form. This applies whether or not your child has had lessons up to now. Places are limited!

The Education Authority will once again provide a helpdesk on Saturday 1 June 2019 between the hours of 3.30pm and 5pm which parents can contact in the event that they do not receive a placement letter from the post primary school which has selected their child for admission. The Education Authority will write to parents of pupils who have not yet been allocated a school place. The helpdesk number is 028 95985595.

Mr Duffy who gives the children drum lessons is now taking bookings for a summer camp.

a ‘school of the future’ design. we don’t know what ours is going to look like yet
The Department of Education has confirmed funding has been released for a new building at Millennium. This will be a multi-million-pound development and will entirely replace the existing school building. Information provided by Mr Corrigan.
